To ease the burden on our overcrowded emergency departments, urgent care centers are vital in providing prompt, accessible and quality care to patients in need of "unexpected" medical services.
There are a lot of people going to the emergency room for colds, simple x-rays, urinary infections and other complaints that are not truly emergencies. Although an urgent care is not a substitute for true emergency situations, last year the Greeley Medical Clinic Urgent Care treated over 22,400 patients with complaints as varied as sore throats, broken bones, workman`s compensation injuries, and heart attacks.
Urgent Care does not take the place of the routine care from your primary care physician. If you come to Urgent Care, we encourage and will facilitate a follow-up with your primary care physician.
