Joshua Snyder, MD, joins the GMC Peak Orthopaedics PC department in August, 2009. Dr. Snyder received his M.D. at Chicago Medical School. He completed his internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center, and an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the prestigious University of Chicago Hospitals. While in Chicago, Dr. Snyder utilized his skills while working with various professional and elite teams, including The Chicago Blackhawks, the United States Olympic Volleyball Team and the Chinese Olympic Volleyball and Diving Teams. He also had extensive coverage with The University of Chicago and Concordia University baseball and softball teams as well as athletic departments for these Universities and several other high school athletic departments.
Dr. Snyder specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the hip, shoulder and knee. He is adept at the newest techniques in hip arthroscopy which allows patients a solution for treatment of some hip problems without requiring hip replacement. Dr. Snyder is also an expert in the arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee including rotator cuff repairs and cartilage restoration techniques. He will gear his clinical focus to the operative and non-operative treatment of sports injuries.
